This Privacy Policy is for delivery partners who use the Haper Delivery Android application to receive and complete delivery assignments. It describes how Hapverse Private Limited ("Haper") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information.
Delivery partners are independent contractors and not employees of Haper.
1. Information we collect
Onboarding & identity
- Your full name, photograph, date of birth, gender.
- Mobile number and email address.
- Government-issued identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence) — collected during manual onboarding.
- Vehicle details and registration documents.
- Bank account details for payouts.
- Emergency contact details.
Operational data
- Real-time GPS location while you are on duty, to assign nearby orders, share live location with the customer at delivery time, and verify proof of delivery.
- Order assignment history, acceptance/rejection records, on-time performance, ratings.
- Cash collection records and reconciliation history.
- Delivery OTPs you enter to confirm handover.
- Photos you upload (for example profile picture or proof of delivery, where applicable).
Device & usage data
- Device model, operating system, app version, device identifier.
- Network connectivity status, app crashes and performance metrics (via Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging token, for sending order alerts and notifications.
2. How we use your information
- To verify your identity and onboard you as a delivery partner.
- To assign you nearby orders and route you efficiently.
- To share your name, photograph and live location with the customer at the time of delivery.
- To process incentives, bonuses, payouts and reconcile cash collections.
- To monitor service quality, on-time performance and customer ratings.
- To investigate complaints, fraud, accidents and safety incidents.
- To comply with applicable law, tax and accounting requirements.
3. How we share your information
- Customers — your name, photograph and live location at delivery time.
- Banks & payout partners — for crediting your earnings.
- Firebase (Google) — for push notifications, crash reporting, analytics.
- Government and law-enforcement authorities — when required by law or in response to a lawful request.
- Insurance providers — in the event of an accident or claim, as relevant.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Location tracking
The Haper Delivery app collects your real-time GPS location while you are on duty. This is essential for assigning orders, navigation, and for the safety of both you and the customer. You can stop sharing location by going off-duty or by revoking the permission in your device settings, but you will not be able to receive new orders while location is disabled.
5. Earnings & cash data
We retain detailed records of your earnings, incentives, cash collections and reconciliations as required for tax, accounting and audit purposes, typically for at least 8 years.
6. Data retention
- Operational data is retained for the duration of your engagement plus a reasonable period thereafter.
- If you stop being a delivery partner, we retain your records as required by law (typically up to 8 years for tax and accounting records).
- You may request deletion of personal information that is not required to be retained by law by emailing support@haper.in.
7. Your rights
You may request to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information not required for legal or operational reasons.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
Tokens and sensitive credentials in the Haper Delivery app are stored using EncryptedSharedPreferences. We use HTTPS, access controls and audit logging to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure.
9. Children
The Haper Delivery app is for individuals 18 years and above. We do not knowingly engage minors as delivery partners.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Delivery app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
